Since you are an adult now, you will need to start changing your spending habits. No more going out for pizza and beer when the electricity bill needs to be paid. And you should change your expectations about needing the best and newest of everything. Buying a used car is almost always the best move to make vs. buying a new car. But in the first few years out of college you should not add excess expenses or large purchases. This means keeping your current car and renting rather than buying a house.

Besides curtailing your spending, you will need to increase your income. Whether it is a second or third job or working at home running a business, you will need to get the income increased. Coupled with a reduction in spending, this creates a larger span of discretionary income which you can then use to payoff student loans.
